It's about time I got the Wacom out and teach myself Photoshop CS3, since I still have a lot of free time on my hands.
I've always felt more in control of my drawings when it's just the pencil and I, especially since I have the freedom to do so any where and any time-- so I find it unusual to digitally draw, although considering I spend a lot of time on a laptop, it makes sense to be creative via it! I've had a collection of line drawings I'd only gotten around to scanning into files on my laptop (bought myself my own lovely scanner a few days ago!), and used one of them to experiment with (it's submitted in my gallery). I'm still not very good with it (understandable since it's the first time I've tried to paint with it!) and still have a lot to learn about how to use the program, but I'm already noticing how in some ways it's much easier to create things similar to what I want to express, as compared with just drawing. I'm going to learn through tutorials etc so I get an idea of how and what I can use all the tools for-- after that I'm sure I'll be more able to create anything I can think of! (exciting). If anyone has any online tutorial links that could be of use to me, please let me know!
